The creation of the CEMIM (2017) arises from the need to join up research and transfer activities linked to mathematics that are developed in the field of the FCEyN of the UNMdP and to provide a favorable environment for the training of postgraduate students in this discipline.

 

The assembled research groups - Algebra, Analysis and Statistics - have had a marked development in recent years and this growth is closely related to the creation of the Doctorate in Mathematics in March 2009, which recently obtained the highest category awarded to a doctorate in the country. That is why one of the main objectives of the Center is to generate an adequate environment for the training of postgraduate human resources.
